Description
Bevel seat fittings are threaded Stainless Steel Sanitary connections that ensure rigid, crevice -free sealing in High pressure process lines. They consist of three components: a Threaded Ferrule, a Plain Ferrule and a Union Hex Nut that draws the angled edges together for a tight seal.
- KEY FEATURES AND SPECIFICATIONS
Components: A threaded bevel ferrule and a plain bevel ferrule are welded to tubing. A HEX Union Nut fits over the Plain FERRULE AND screws onto the threaded FeRRULE to secure the connection.
Materials: Commonly manufactured in 304 or 316 Stainless Steel allowing them to resist corrosion from harsh cleaners, acids and process fluids.
Gaskets: While these fittings can create a secure metal to metal seal they often utilize optional bevel seat gaskets to prevent metal to metal contacting further optimize hygienic performance.
Size & Pressure: Available in sizes ranging from 1″ to 4″ in diameter. A standard 4″ fitting can withstand pressures up to 100 psi
Standards: Designed with smooth , crevice-free surfaces that meet 3-A Sanitary Standards and FDA Requirements heavily minimizing the risk of Bacterial buildup.
Primary Applications: Because they are highly secure and designed to endure both pressure and vibration, bevel seat unions are classic technology frequently utilized in systems requiring frequent, easy disassembly.
